We were super excited and proud when we first heard the news a few weeks back that we had been awarded a Queens Award. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, recognising and celebrating business excellence across the UK. Shnuggle, has been honoured in the category of ‘International Trade for Outstanding Short Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years’.
Her Majesty The Queen personally approves the winners and The Lord-Lieutenant of the County, Her Majesty The Queen’s local representative will present the award to Shnuggle right here in a special ceremony in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, followed by a Royal Reception for the winners to be held later in the year at Buckingham Palace (Super excited).
We are one of 200 organisations to be recognised, selected as a winner based on outstanding success in innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promotion of opportunity.
A Little Bit About Shnuggle
Shnuggle HQ is based in Newtownards just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. From humble beginnings as an idea developed at the dining table Shnuggle began trading in 2009. By 2015 major retailers were stocking our product and we were exporting to over 20 countries. We now have a growing portfolio of products in the sleeptime, bathtime and changing categories, including the multi-award winning Shnuggle Bath which sees one sold every 2.5 minutes around the world! Export sales have more than quadrupled over the last three years and we now export to over 45 countries. We are market leaders in South Korea and have sales across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
We are absolutely thrilled at winning such a prestigious award. We have believed in the Shnuggle dream since before our early beginnings in 2009 and have worked tirelessly to create a brand that is trusted and loved around the world and that, more importantly, is designed to really help new parents and be an inspiration to others.
We are so proud that we have been able to grow Shnuggle from our Head Office and home town Newtownards based in Northern Ireland. We are now a 15-person strong dedicated team and also operate our own local warehouse, distributing Shnuggle products world wide. This award really does reflect all the fab work the team do.
We are so proud to have been awarded a Queen’s Award and can now use the Queen’s Award emblem for the next five years.
